     Let's take a trip to the exotic rainforests of the world! Students in grades 3-5 can learn the locations of both tropical and temperate rainforests, general information about each, animals that live there, and much more. Below are some internet lessons that I hope will delight you as you travel the globe and become a defender of one of our greatest resources of this earth.

  Internet Lessons

(Teachers: Quizzes for lessons 2-5 can be obtained by going to the accompanying Zoom Rainforest site and clicking on "Quizzes")

Lesson #1: Click on "Rainforest Topics" to jump to an informative rainforest site. Read through the information about the rainforests, and write down  5 facts to share with the class. Be prepared to discuss one problem of the rainforests, and come up with one thing you are willing to do to help.

Lesson #2:  Use "Zoom Rainforest" to look up the answers to a set of questions about general facts everyone should know about these special forests.

Lesson #3:  Get your worksheet from your teacher and click on "Where are rainforests?" to stretch your knowledge about the global  locations of the rainforests.

Lesson #4:   Learn a new word by taking your worksheet to this site. Click on "Strata" to experience the highs and the lows of the rainforest!

Lesson #5:   Your next assignment is to locate answers to questions about some animals that live in the rainforest. Click on "Animals" to find some fantastic fun facts.
