In the year 2001, “Larry’s Casting Kid’s” was founded in memory of Larry Goodlick. He loved the outdoors, sports and especially teaching kids how to fish. Larry’s dreams continue on through this wonderful program dedicated to him. “Larry’s Casting Kids” is designed to accommodate youth of all ages and is split up into a fishing derby for the younger children and a Fishing Tournament for older kids between the ages of 8 and 17.

What is the Take Me Fishing Campaign?

  • In May 2007, Larry's casting Kids became affiliated with the Recreational Boating and Fishing Foundation's "take me fishing" campaign, under the direction of the National Recreation and park Association. What a wonderful distinction - a grassroots organization that was chosen out of hundreds of applicants!
