Friday, July 25, 2008 - Educational/information stations on safety, rules, equipment, bait, live aquatic environment, fish identification, knot tying, and casting. All those completing the stations receive their own Larry's Casting Kids fishing license, T-shirt and a big goodie bag. Participants must attend this session between 3pm and 8pm to be eligible for the Saturday Derby. (The stations take approximately 2 hours to complete.)

Saturday, July 26, 2008 - A fishing derby with trophies, awards, bait, door prizes, and a luncheon, featuring "Oscar" dogs, goldfish, dirt-n-worms for desert with beverages of muddy water. Fishing poles provided for those in need.

Prizes Include: Trophies for Biggest Fish, Smallest Fish, Big Oscar, Most Weight, Ugliest Hat and Oldest Fisherman.

Where to register: Two person buddy teams, one under age 13 and one person over 14 years are encouraged and should register in the Recreation Reception Office located in the Pekin Arena by Friday July 14 at 5pm.
